End of the War🕊️

 Today is end of World War II. In other countries, the end of the war is generally celebrated as September 2nd, but in Japan it is celebrated as August 15th, the day Emperor Showa announced the end of the war. Emperor Showa's broadcast is called the Gyokuon-hoso. (JA:玉音放送 Beautiful and pure voice broadcasting)

 More than 3 million people lost int this war. Many people, both Japanese and Americans, lost their lives for their country. However, the United States and Japan, who were enemies at the time, are now close friends. We must join hands with the people of the world and become friends.

 We have a responsibility to protect world peace. We must continue to make constant efforts until the day when war is eliminated from the world. We must not forget that war. For the sake of those who perished.
